“I aim to help as many humans
as possible to experience calm,
peace and serenity, even if
just for a moment. “
My yoga journey began by following along to YouTube videos in my family room during my recovery from having had an autologous bone marrow transplant in 2018, to halt the rapid progression of a debilitating auto immune disease. As I stumbled through the first video, I immediately noticed how calm I felt. I continued practicing regularly and yoga began to transform my life. I took a leap of faith to deepen my practice by completing a Yoga Alliance accredited 200-hour yoga teacher training at Moksha Yoga and Meditation Ravenna, Ohio in 2020. After experiencing the positive changes in my own mind and body, I was compelled to start teaching to help others find healing, and lead a healthier, joyful, well-balanced life.
I continued my education and wellness path with Reiki I & II certification, as well as a focus on the therapeutic application of yoga through specialized adaptive, restorative, meditative and sound therapy practices and certifications.
My classes range from deeply restorative, to a strong flowing practice, encouraging the exploration of your own movement and breath. What I like most about yoga is the diversity in how yoga allows you to move at your own pace. I enjoy sharing the sense of awareness, clarity, healing, and inner strength the mind-body-spirit connection can bring. Bonnie has been married for 23 years, has three children and two fur babies Ginger and Jaxson. When I'm not at the studio practicing yoga, I'm refinishing furniture, cooking something new, or taking a road trip.
