I first started practicing yoga as a way to add another dimension to my fitness regimen. I have always been an avid runner, weight lifter and outdoor enthusiast, but yoga was a gentler way to gain flexibility, strength, and balance in my body. As I began to deepen my practice and explore the many styles of yoga, I found that yoga provided me with so much more than just the physical. I was energized, my mind was calmer, I learned body awareness and self-confidence, and my mental health improved. After attending some yoga-themed workshops in the area, I decided it just wasn’t enough and I knew that I needed to complete a yoga teacher training program to gain the knowledge and insight that I craved. I went on to complete my 200-hour yoga teacher training at One Love Yoga in Kent, OH. The YTT journey was truly life changing – I will forever cherish my instructors, my fellow students (whom I now consider my friends), and the knowledge gained. I left YTT as a better version of myself and ready to share yoga with the world. As my interests and myself have evolved, I have continued to seek out opportunities to expand my practice by achieving additional certifications in other yoga styles, Reiki, and Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing). I hope to share my love of yoga with my students through my many class and workshop offerings. I hope to see you on the mat!
I am the proud dog mom of two German Wirehaired Pointers, Pepper and Paisley. I consider myself to be a backyard farmer - I have a flock of domestic ducks, a small apple orchard and berry patches, and I plant an organic garden consisting of herbs, vegetables, and flowers every summer. When not on my yoga mat or in my garden, you can find me kayaking, riding my Peloton, walking my dogs, or reading a good book.
